Vanitas Selfie and Poem
Title
Vanitas Selfie and Poem
Description
Warm yet dark, I keep to myself unless spoken to
I spend most of my days asleep
Only to be awoken when disturbed
By the giant beast that toys with me
I serve many purposes
I know not much of the outside world
I hate these dark spaces
I want to know more than what I’m confined to
The beast treats me with such indifference
He drops me, throws me, yells at me
I feel so dirty and used
This is not a life worth living
And slowly, and slowly
I feel as though my life were fading away
Not much of me is left, I know it is my time
3… 2… 1… Gone.
I spend most of my days asleep
Only to be awoken when disturbed
By the giant beast that toys with me
I serve many purposes
I know not much of the outside world
I hate these dark spaces
I want to know more than what I’m confined to
The beast treats me with such indifference
He drops me, throws me, yells at me
I feel so dirty and used
This is not a life worth living
And slowly, and slowly
I feel as though my life were fading away
Not much of me is left, I know it is my time
3… 2… 1… Gone.
