In the beginning they are full of life
Green leaves bloom everywhere in sight,
Changing colors as seasons turn.
Admired by everyone.
But these colors turn brown.
Their glamor leaves them.
Leaves fall; snow falls.
Life No More
Unique crystals,
Racing through the air,
Full of beauty and dread,
Are coming to claim their ground.
Trapping the dead leaves as they drop,
As though they don’t matter anymore.
Leaving them to rot under snow’s allure.
